What is a Water Fed Pole?
Water fed poles allow you to utilize your pure water system to clean windows. These poles are generally made from carbon fiber with extendable sections. Durable clamps allow sections to be extended and locked into place. Hose can be fed either internally or externally to carry pure water to your brush. Poles range in sizes from 21 feet up to 90 feet, eliminating the need for ladders and lifts when cleaning windows.
How does a Water Fed Pole work?
Water fed poles are easy to operate. Just connect your pole hose to your purification system, and extend the sections out to the height you need. Clamps hold the extended sections in place while you work. The brush at the end of your pole does the scrubbing to agitate up the dirt and then rinse it away. When you're done cleaning, simply collapse the sections back onto themselves and it's ready for storage again.
What size Water Fed Pole do I need?
In the most basic sense, you need a water fed pole to reach the windows you want to clean.
- If you are doing residential jobs, you'll be fine with 30 foot poles designed for hitting three story windows.
- If you plan to work on commercial buildings you'll want something around 50 feet.
- If you plan to work on high rise structures, you can consider the XERO Destroyer that goes up to 90 feet!
If you aren't ready for the full investment right away, you can always start with a smaller pole and use extensions and add ons to make your pole longer down the road. Different materials have different max lengths.
What is the most budget friendly water fed pole?
The XERO Pro Basic is the most affordable waterfed pole in the line up with 30', 40' and 50' options. It's made from a durable carbon fiber with extendable sections. It includes a brush, hose, and fittings to get you started right out of the box.
How high can a water fed pole go?
The maximum length of a XERO Water-Fed pole is 90 feet with the XERO Destroyer. Made from ultra high modulus carbon, this pole is able to maintain it's rigidity even at full extension.
Are Water Fed Poles and Solar Poles the same?
They are incredibly similar! Depending on the types of jobs you'll be doing the most, you can determine if you'd rather invest in a water fed pole or solar panel cleaning pole. There are just a few key differences to consider.
- Solar Poles include High Flow hose vs the standard 5/16" hose found on water fed poles. This is great for flow, but adds a lot to the price of the poles.
- Solar Poles come with a much larger brush than water fed poles. It's great for cleaning large solar panels, but not something you'd want to work with vertically at heights.
- Lastly, Solar Poles have a mix of fiberglass sections to make the poles less conductive than a water fed pole. However, this does make them heavier.
