Why do I need a RO/DI System?

Well, we're glad you asked! You need a RO/DI system if you want to leave spotless windows, faster than ever before.

These systems are able to remove impurities from source water so windows will dry clear. They are necessary for window cleaners who are dealing with hard water if you don't want to spend a fortune on replacement filters.

Using a pure water system with a water fed pole also allows you to keep your feet on the ground instead of cleaning windows with ladders.

If that sounds like you, you need a RO/DI set up.

How do I choose a RO/DI System?

It can feel a little intimidating trying to sort through the options of Pure Water RO/DI Systems, but we're here to help! It boils down to a few key questions.

Do you have the space to transport a full size unit?

If the answer is no, then you want the ATOM. Otherwise, the door is still open for any of the XERO RO/DI Systems.

How many poles do you plan to operate at once off it?

If you're a solo operator, any system is available to you. But if you plan to run 2 or 3 poles at once, you are going to want a MAX series unit or Triple Pure. These systems produce more gallons per minute allowing you greater flow.

How high do you need to reach?

If you're working on residential properties, the Pure or Pure Plus would be just fine for you. If you are handling commercial buildings and need to reach 50+ feet, a MAX Series or Triple Pure would be a better option for you so you can operate without a pump in most cases.

How do I know when to Change the filters in my RO/DI System?

Pre-Filter

Generally these need to be changed every 3 months. They are the most affordable of the filters and help to remove the larger impurities from source water. If you haven't changed them in a while and you aren't getting the expected TDS, these would be a great first step to swap out.

RO Membrane

The RO Membrane(s) in your system are doing the bulk of the work to purify the water. They will last you years if you treat them right. If changing your other filters isn't helping your TDS reading, it might be time for a new RO Membrane.

DI Filter

The DI Resin handles the final polish of the water to get it down to near 0 TDS. If your TDS is starting to hover over 10 PPM, you probably are ready to change out your resin.

How do I winterize my RO/DI system?

Whenever your system will be out of use for an extended period of time (even a couple weeks), it's good to make sure you are adding a preservative to your RO Membrane like the RO Guardian. It prevents the membrane from getting fouled so it will still operate at 100% next time you bring it out.
