    Have a Question?

    Ask a Question
    • I live in Arlington Texas. Apparently here the water is about 200 tds. How long will this tank last me?

Hi! So we typically only recommend this system for TDS 150 and lower, so this would not be a great option for you as you would burn through resin very quickly, potentially on a weekly or less basis depending on use. We would recommend a XERO Pure instead. For an accurate estimate, you can utilize this TDS Calculator.

    • How much resin do I need to refil a 1/2 cubic foot tank?

For a 1/2 cubic foot tank, you would need to refill with 1/2 cubic foot of resin. You can grab fresh XERO Virgin Resin here, which is offered in 1/4, 1/2, and 1 cubic foot units.

    • What is the shelf life of the resin if I’m not using it constantly? Personal use to clean my solar panels so I’ll probably only be using it multiple times a year.

Great question! An unopened bag resin will typically last about a year. Once opened, it is a pretty short shelf life for fresh resin. For a better understanding of maximum use of your system and resin, discuss with one of our product experts to make sure you are selecting the best system for your area and needs.

    • how much resin do these tanks take and how do you replace it?

Hi! These tanks are opened from the top for easy resin replacing. The size of the tank is the amount of resin you will need to replace it. For example, a 1/2 cubic foot requires 1/2 cubic foot of resin.  For more information, give us a call at 862-266-0677!

    • At what tds do I need to change the resin?

As soon as you start to notice your TDS raising to more than usual, it is a good idea to change your resin. It all depends on what your initial TDS reading was. But, a rule of thumb is, if it is consistently raising, change it out.

    • How much psi will it put out?

Well, with a DI tank, too much pressure is a bad thing. Being only one stage of filtration, pushing water through it too fast won't properly filter the water if the TDS is remotely high. 65 psi is the absolute max you want through a DI tank. At that pressure, you can easily use it with a 60' water fed pole.
